		<description>I agree to a large extent. Refusing to teach any religion in schools is throwing the baby out with the bath-water. 

Religion is a very important part of society, and it's invaluable to teach kids about the religions of the people around them. 

I'm dead against teaching religion as an ideology, but if you're going to teach kids &lt;i&gt;about&lt;/i&gt; one religion, it's only fair to teach them about others.

OF course it's not reasonable to teach all relgions... there wouldn't be time to cover important things like PT... but at least pick the five or so biggest (or best known) ones and use them as examples to demonstrate the principles of comparative religion.</description>
