While the rest of South Africa denounces the xenophobic attacks, socialist groups are fanning the flames by saying that capitalists are the enemy.
The hate that we are seeing is clearly motivated by a sense of entitlement. Statements like “foreigners are stealing our jobs, houses and women” prove it. Now these socialist organizations are bolstering that sense of entitlement. Even worse, by saying that the hate is simply directed against the wrong group, they are saying that the hate itself is not wrong.
Well, I’ll say it. The hate and violence is wrong! Nobody deserves to die that way. The truth is that the greatest source of our economic problems is that sense of entitlement. Sitting around, waiting for a job to be given to you won’t change anything. Wealth is created whenever people do useful work. Jobs create themselves!
It is for that reason that foreigners are an asset. They aren’t stealing jobs, they are helping to create new ones.

I think it boils down to the fact that some South Africans are lazy and the “illegal immigrants” will work twice as hard for the exact same salary. And these people realize this hence the attacks and hatred.
