For all you rabid Japanophiles, here’s the schedule for the Japanese Film Festival (hosted by Cinema Nouveau) in Rosebank.
It starts this Friday. All the films are in Japanese with English subtitles. Entry to the Japanese Film Festival is free, and tickets are available at Cinema Nouveau box offices an hour before each show.

Legendary scifi author, inventor and futurist Arthur C. Clarke died today at his home in Sri Lanka at the age of 90.

UPCON is the yearly gaming convention organised by the University of Pretoria Krygspel group. This year it will take place in Pretoria on the weekend of 5-6 April. Expect wargaming, cardgaming, lan gaming, boardgaming, roleplaying, anime, and gothic hotties galore. I hope.
